Still find it funny that an American animation that shows on PBS ranks in the top 10 (Curious George) in Japan. I'm not saying that's a bad thing, just funny.

Is there any reason why things like Ohacoro Up, and Transformers Prime are excluded from these lists? Are the ratings that poor?

Now I understand why they are making Best Wishes Season 2 with all those changes. Makes me wonder if the anime had a say in things for Gamefreak to try to boost ratings, like having Homika appear before the games come out.

Pocket Monsters peaked during Diamond & Pearl, for both the anime and the games (or maybe I should say peaked after the first generation, since Red/Green/Blue sold a bit more than Diamond & Pearl did, but still, Diamond & Pearl have a very large gap between them and Gold/Silver, Ruby/Sapphire, Black/White, and the remakes of Generations I and II.. and the first generation was a bit inflated due to the whole Blue/Green thing) Black and White didn't sell anywhere near as many copies as Diamond & Pearl did, and Best Wishes in general has been getting roughly half the ratings that Diamond & Pearl got.

I'd say it's about accurate.. Diamond and Pearl was when the anime was at it's strongest writing wise, with an awesome rival like Shinji, and a great female lead in Hikari who helped bring in a large otaku following as well. Best Wishes lacks a lot of things which made Diamond and Pearl an amazing series.
