I have loved everything Hosoda has directed, and that includes Digimon Adventure episode 21 and the 2 movies. He has definitely earned my respect and I will watch this the minute that I can.

Mamoru Hosoda established his studio "Studio Chizu(Map)."

Spice and Wolf, with roles reversed (and as parents)?
Sounds a little weird, but I trust Hosoda to make it work. That guy is the real deal. |

That's fantastic news ! now for the waiting...
Hosoda is one of those anime directors from whom we eagerly await his next movie. Just like with Shinkai, Miyazaki, Oshii, and a whole lot of others... I had the chance of seeing Hosoda (and Sadamoto) during the world premier of Summer Wars during the Locarno film festival in August 2009 ! They screened it not even two weeks after its Japanese release. We all felt pretty privileged at the time ! |

I don't care what the story is. Hosoda can make garbage turn to gold.

Uh..... huh.
If this was literally anyone else my aversion to animal people would put me off, but since its Hosoda I'll give it the benefit of the doubt, |

And maybe the parent-child relationship ends like Bunny Drop too. |

I'm a sucker for wolf/fox/dog/cat-eared characters so I'm in. No, I am not a "furry" thanks for asking.

New Hosoda, because there aren't enough reasons to already be excited for the anime movie lineup next year :3

It bothers a little that the father is gone (cause he left or died) or doesn't involve raising the kids.
It's just a little bother since it enforces the stereotype that the father don't do anything. Again this point is nitpicking and I of course will watch the film when it comes out here in the states. |
