Holy crap. I so badly wanted the ToAru series to have a movie adaptation, but never did it cross my mind that something like that could become a reality. Looks like this isn't just an illusion. What a pleasant surprise. I wonder if the movie will be based off of original content from the light novels, or if it'll be something entirely new (In other words; "non-canon").

It reminds me of another successful light novel series J.C. Staff has done a anime on ; Shakugan no Shana. That one also got a movie adaptation a couple years back. I guess if it's popular enough, then why not go for a movie right? Although I hope this ToAru movie wont turn out to be a compiled version of the first season or first two seasons. That's what the Shakugan no Shana movie basically did for their first season.

Hmm... I wonder if this will be like Shana where the movie will be the first arc in the anime. I actually like the Shana movie more than the first arc of the TV series, even though certain things are obviously skipped/missing. The Shana movie had that powerful sense of drama at the end. Love it so much. Glad that FUNi licensed it. Looking forward to this, be it a sequel/side-story/adaptation-of-first-arc

Yeah this is gonna be awesome, regardless of what it is. I know the light novel is still ongoing, so hopefully its a sequel movie setting up a third season.

Following the steps of Haruhi and K-On!, Toaru shall get a film after its second season. This is gonna be so cool. You could tell it wasn't gonna end with season 2.

Good news, but tbh I'd rather just have more Railgun. :/

Yup, and I've seen what the light novels have in store for us! We just can't miss that kind of thing! So much is going to happen after where the anime left off.

Best news of this year!
I hope the season 3 will also come out soon. (And please don't make it the 'Final' one...)

Great news, can't wait to hear the details. I hope it's not a compilation movie, but if it is I suspect it'll be a redo of the Imouto arc of the first season since I think that translates best for a movie. Be great if they could include some of the stuff from Misaka's POV from the Railgun manga.

And yeah, more of both series in TV form would be great!

Due to what happens to the main person Toma in the light novels i wonder what the second set of books is about.
Also cool season three would be nice!

Too awesome. Now when the hell is Funimation going to release the damn TV series. I feel like it's been years. I want to hurry up and buy the series. I wonder how long the film is going to be.
