im going to guess the special simulcast is either fairy tail or anohana. the special part hints at fairy tail but it could also be anohana.

But Fairy Tale is already being simulcast by CR, it's not unheard of for them to share a simulcast but since FT's simulcast is a bit weird to start with (episodes are only up for a month and then only for premium users) I don't think so. It could be AnoHana, bit late to announce it but at this rate it's a bit late to announce anything, Moshidora hasn't premiered yet so it could be that, hmmm. Well, guess I'll just have to wait until later today!

well funi shared a simulcast for forte with crunchy so its not entirely impossible. i think moshidora would be too much money since it out sold harry potter. they did do a 6 episode late simulcast for rainbow so its not impossible for anohana.

I'm at least glad they are making a comment on the status of Spice and Wolf II. As a fan of that series, not seeing it on the monthly releases posts in the Retail forum, but yet still seeing the ad in the back of my third novel, worries me a bit. Hopefully they can state a release date soon.

Thank god Spice and Wolf is still coming. Had begun to lose hope. Hope they do a blu-ray release for the whole series!

Did no one ask about licensing more One Piece episodes there? Or even about the new sets.

I would think that would be a big question.

On their facebook page a few weeks back Lance said that the hold-up for Spice & Wolf II was that the extras were taking longer than expected to get to them from Japan. Extras I tell you! Wink

That's also why we haven't seen anything on Index/Railgun. Apparently sometimes Japan doesn't send everything they need? Everything in the fullness of time, I guess.

Good to hear about Spice and Wolf II, though I am a bit sad about Case Closed. That was like the only series that I was still buying today. Hope it picks up again though. Interesting to hear about the Trigun movie as well.

Hellsing Ultimate is "Sometime this year", it could be December for all I know! At least Spice and Wolf II will be getting here, have to save up extra money.

IIRC from the panel, they said that there weren't currently plans for more D.Gray-man, and I think they said that there wasn't any more One Piece scheduled, either.

There are also plans to dub the Trigun: Badlands Rumble movie in the future, with Funimation looking to reunite all the members of the original cast.

Wait...wut? From what I was hearing I thought they were going to replace most of the cast. If this update is true it's certainly fantastic news then!

It's funny that they announced Season 3 of Shin Chan. I just interviewed Brina Palencia (George) at Anime Boston, and she said she hadn't heard if they were gonna be bringing it back.

the lack of original Japanese credits sequences on most discs is due to originals received from Japan that contain only the textless openings and endings.

Well that's a new one - and doesn't explain all the titles with intact Japanese credits on subtitled streams and the cases where they clearly didn't get a clean version at all so had to "butcher" the Japanese credits by zooming out (e.g. Birdy) or overlaying (e.g. Sekirei).
