Well, that's just great, but I don't like being teased like this. I thought it was licensed for crying out loud. I'll have to keep an eye on this.

Cautiously hopes that increased global interest would mean increased chance of licenses for manga and anime...

Oh come on. I thought that the anime had finally gotten licensed when I read "Dennou Coil" and "licensed" in the title. Arrrrgh.

Is it so much for this well-written and quite intriguing sci-fi show to reach the States so I may own it?

Ahh man. I skimmed over 'Denno Coil' and 'licensed' and now I'm disappointed.

I would really like to buy this show in my region some day... Wonder why no one has yet to pick up this masterpiece.

I'll happily try the game out since the anime isn't licensed over here yet, gaaahhhhh, I want the anime so badly.

Seriously, this series is pretty much my most-wanted non-licensed title (well, maybe this and Kaiba). It's a damn shame that the past few years have seen any number of worthless moeblob-fests brought over to the US, but not a true gem like Denno Coil.

You can point point to moeblob while I point to any number of worthless samurai and vampire shows licensed over Denno Coil.

You'd have to point to them, because I can't think of any off the top of my head. Razz That's for another topic, though.

I want Denno Coil! It's one of the best anime of the past half-decade to be virtually ignored by the Western world, and it's high time it got its due!

What samurai shows have we seen in recent years? Sengoku Basara is the only one that springs to mind for me.

I do totally agree though that some of the licensing choices in recent years have been tremendously frustrating. You look down the list of recent TV series licenses and it's just a parade of mediocrity and garbage with relatively few exceptions. Meanwhile there are so many shows that I constantly hear people absolutely rave about that remain unlicensed. Denno Coil, Mononoke, Kaiba, Michiko & Hatchin, Tokyo Magnitude 8.0. (I also must resist the urge to go off on the whole Funimation/House of Five Leaves/Tatami Galaxy situation again).

The fact this amazing show (and others) isn't licensed while certain other shows are (not going to start a ****fest saying what those shows are...) is one of the reasons I haven't bought any anime in a while.
Professor Layton movie is the most recent addition to that reason.
