Well, that was unexpected, for two reasons. First because KR Decade has only been going for about six months, which means they're breaking the tradition of having each Rider series last one year. I have no idea how popular Decade was, so I wonder if this was planned from the start or was it a result of low popularity?

Also, I had thought the next series was to be a direct sequel to Den-O? I need more imagins and time trains in my life.

It was planned from the beginning. The actor said so. He even said it was so that there would be no interruptions in the story.

1. That direct sequel thing was just a rumor
2. Yes, because 4 movies and two anime series with an increasing line of music just wasn't enough. (I like Den-O as much as the next guy but it needs a bit of a rest)

No offense, but I'd estimate that about 90% of false entertainment related internet rumors begin with the phrase "the actor said." Apart from the fact that actors have no say in whether or not a network cuts a show's run short. "No interruptions in the story" can easily mean "if they kill it, we'll wrap things up with a quickie ending." Which is usually the case when yearlong shows get this sort of treatment anyway (Oh Gundam X, we hardly knew ye.)

The anime series are just shorts starring the show's non-human supporting cast. It's at best a spinoff, and very different from the main series. And the music is...well, music. The movies are fun, but due to their nature they can't really support an ongoing story, which is what I was hoping for (and what you probably wouldn't get except from a series.)

From what I understand Cho Den-O is going to be a new toku series, not a new Kamen Rider series, with the Decade- Cho Den-O movie starting it off. That's what I thought was going to be taking over the Decade spot come September.

Though as much as I liked Den-O, I'd much rather have a new KR series than more Den-O.

Yeah but Decade was announced as a short series even before its premiere.
