$5!!??!!?? Well, I was hoping for him to show up to SD for Comic con, but count me as someone who will sign up on that date. Better break out some of his older works and get reaquainted with them. Plus, I can check out the exhibit I've heard so much about.

Perhaps they're not anticipating a lot of people are going to be interested. Or perhaps another sinister plot is in the making. *cue sinister music*

Will there be a Q&A? If so, perhaps someone could ask if he will consider a Nausicaa re-make to include the complete story this time? Wink

For some reason to ask something like that would feel insulting, in my opinion.

Opinion noted, however nothing ventured, nothing gained. He did once say no to this years ago, but did say he wanted to write a manga sequel of Nausicaa in her 30's. Wink

Imagine if this unique event was broadcast on tv!!
Still, if Lasseter has control over it, he'll include this on the (Disney release) "Ponyo" DVD as a bonus for the fans!
-Don't think it couldn't happen, we've seen his rare visit to Pixar documented as one of the "Howl's" DVD bonuses.

As for Nausicaä, I'd be happy with a prequel covering the conflagrational story, as seen in the opening glyphs of the epic classic!!! (Anime smallmouth)b

I just got a Twitter from Crispin Freeman (voice of Turnip in Howl's Moving Castle), he's been invited to this event, and will be attending.
