Too bad it isn't in New York City.

I would've definately gone to that event cause almost all of my favourite series are there, especially since despite on how bad people say it is now,the pokemon series along with DBZ,Gundam Wing and the DIC versions of sailor moon helped the anime industry in the 90's became what it is now.

[b] Unfortunately it was nearly branded as adults only thanks to favourite but conterversial series like Akira,Ninja Scroll and ESPECIALLY Kite and Mezzo Forte and their questionable Director's cut version. However, Whoever don't go the event, definately is doing themselves a bad disservice cause they don't know anime if they don't know any of these classics.

Anime is usually seen as mindless self-indulgent violent pornographic cartoon images only to be enjoyed by young children or people with mental handicaps. Basically the only kind of accepted anime here or Japan are Miyazaki films.
