I'm so happy to see Makeine getting awards. It was such a fun show and early one of my favorite from last year. Dangers in My Heart is also nice to see since being a show from the winter season it's so easy to forget about and end up lost in the shuffle.

Surprisingly solid set; I actually agree with most of the awards.

That's the result of popularity.

I've got nothing against all of the winners, and I agree they are all amazing shows and deserve the praise they are getting.

Sadly, popularity will always win and shows like Shoshimin, Bartender, Raise wa Tanin ga Ii, Ishura, Sengoku Youko, The Fable, Mayonaka Punch, Puniru wa Kawaii Slime, YATAGARASU & even Snack Basue get overlooked because they are not liked by the masses.

At the very least Girls Band Cry gets an acknowledgment for Best in Original Screenplay so it's all not for naught! Seriously, it's quite amazing it stayed with people's minds despite the delayed streaming for later regions.

Girls Band Cry has to be amazing to gain recognition, since it lacks gory violence, supernatural monsters, mecha, battle competition arcs, romance*, isekai, and everything else currently in fashion.

Shocked that this many people recognized what the show was trying to do and that it did it well.

*Pace to the Nina-Momoka shippers.
