"Simuldub" ? Niceeeee. Glad to hear it. Such a rare occasion for a Disney anime to do that, not even VIZ did it with Bleach lol.

Given that ENGI is animating this I’m a little wary on this one (I’m still salty about how they butchered Unnamed Memory).

Dub cast announced before the show starts airing -- and that's not that unusual these days. I'm just thinking about how it took (checks news archives) five and a half months after The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya finished airing for it to get a license announcement, and seven until the dub cast was announced. For Gurren Lagann, those numbers were six and a half months and nine months. Even in 2009, Eden of the East aired in the same season FMA: Brotherhood debuted, marking a clear change in the streaming game -- and EotE, despite being quite popular, didn't get its license announcement until a month after it was over, at Otakon, and the dub cast was announced eleven and a half months after it was over. Sword Art Online, the megahit of 2012, well into the simulcast era? Dub cast announcement still took three months after the final episode.

Kids these days who watch dubs don't know how good they have it.

ENGI sped through the production and was probably done a few months ago.

I'm excited to see a Disney simuldub! Here's hoping this does well for them so they continue to do this in the future.

Now I just wait for them to announce a dub for the second season of Ishura and I'll be happy.

Did not expect a simuldub for this but the cast looks solid!

Shit, I didn’t realize ENGI is animating this. Hopefully it doesn’t suck as bad as Unnamed Memory but I’m not very hopeful.

Glad to see this is getting dubbed.

Now if only Disney would actually bother promoting it.

To be fair, To Love Ru took 12 years to get dubbed so not all series are this lucky, lol

As a HUGE fan of the manga, I've been following this since Day 1 and from everything I've heard and read, Engi seems to realize that if they fudge this up they're done. Like, 1,000,000% done. The backlash would be something they'd NEVER EVER live down, and because of that they seem to REALLY be taking this seriously.

Your words have given me some hope for Medalist. Thank you!

PS: Now I know Unnamed Memory season 2 will be doomed lmao

That's a show from the very dawn of the simulcast era (same season as The Tower of Druaga), so I don't think it really affects my point.

You think 12 years is a long wait? It wasn't until this year that anime like Key, the Metal Idol (1994), Berserk (1997), Flame of Recca (1997), Great Teacher Onizuka (1999), Sister Princess (2001), Sugar Sugar Rune (2004), Strawberry Panic (2006), Ouran High School Host Club (2006) and School Days (2007) were officially dubbed into Latin American Spanish. Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion (2006) finally received an official European Spanish dub last October, The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya also got dubbed into European Spanish last year, but both of those shows haven't been dubbed into Latin American Spanish yet, though weirdly enough this year's Code Geass anime did get dubbed into LatAm Spanish.
