A guarantee of "no more than 10 percent of the content on emaqi will be translated using AI support at launch" does not impress me. Any tentative steps into getting people to consume a primarily machine translated work is testing the waters and refining the process so that either more work can be replaced down the line or they can squeeze out more work from the same number of employees. Promising to launch with a fraction of the work being AI supported translated does not change the fact that this is essentially a test run to see what the minimum cost and human involvement needed to translate a manga is, count me out free or not.

Yeah it sounds like testing the waters while also framing it as an anti ai stance so they can try to play both sides.

Mark me down as: even 1% AI translation is enough for me to ignore your service

Orange the anime studio should consider suing for hijacking their name.
