I really like the manga (38 chapters read) and this looks like a very faithful adaptation so count me in. Not completely sold on Ishida Akira as Kirishima because I hear a different voice in my head when I'm reading the manga but he's always so good that I hope to change my mind.

I was in the room for this and marked in my media tracking app as one to watch immediately after the screening. I’m not familiar with the manga but the first episode was so good that it felt like the messy toxic shojo titles that are so unnecessarily outrageous on some level that they compel you to keep reading like kind of like Hot Gimmick.

I haven't read this manga yet, but I'm not surprised to see that the relationship dynamics are so delightfully toxic. The author's previous one-volume series, Haru's Curse, has such a wonderfully messy relationship between the two leads. It's one of my favorite one-shots out there and I highly recommend it.

I really don't like the artstyle, I love the rescent trend of 80's anime pastiche but this is a bit too actual 80's design for me.
It sounds intriguing though, but not as intriguing as the hamburglar girl!

The description of the Hamburglar girl's cosplay cracked me up. I've always foregone Anime NYC because of the cost, but I think seeing Hamburglar girl with her severed Ronald McDonald head would have been worth the price of admission. If anyone has pics, please share!!
