Awesome. More terrible CG anime. Can't wait.

That voice cast looks expensive

3D animation can be good, but it bugs me when they intentionally make it choppy. Should be smooth and expressive like Girls Band Cry.

Give It All is a perfectly fine anime film, nothing outstanding but there's also much worse.

The 3D is passable, better than what Polygon Pictures usually puts out but not on the level of Orange or Girls Band Cry.

The story is the usual school-club fare, this time with a rowing club that has been disbanded but then is later revived, with a group of mostly novice girls getting into the sport and trying to get good enough for local competitions. It's ver predictable but has a few good ideas that elevate it. spoiler[At the beginning, I was worried it would go for a simplistic "you just have to try harder" message but it instead says you first need to find something to be passionate about before you can give it your all, which I thought was a nice spin on a well-trodden trope.]

At the very least, it's leagues better than Yuuhei Sakuragi's last film The Relative Worlds. People who have seen the Boro the Caterpillar documentary about Hayao Miyazaki trying to do a 3D short film might recognize him as one of the young 3D specialists Ghibli invited to work on the film.

Based on Gāruzu Bando Kurai (Girls Band Cry), Toei Animation should be allowed to do 3DCG (but only on the condition that they agree to license it to English subtitling streaming services).
