Gotta say I am very impressed Crunchyroll has managed to extend its reach into the Confederacy of Independent Systems.

It would be nice if Crunchyroll would also add back the original broadcast version of Re:Zero s1 to streaming. They still have the director’s cut but the broadcast version has expired with no explanation why when this is an on going series.

Any reason you want the broadcast version over the directors cut? Is it just for completeness?

Naturally, I should let Cardcaptor Takato answer for themselves but given I suspect I know the answer, I'll toss it out there for funsies. The director's cut are double length episodes and some viewers might prefer rewatching the first season with the episodes at their original length.

No surprise about Re:Zero season 3, but I guess they'll be recasting Kyle McCarley as Regulus?

I'm wondering if Nina will be their next big Shojo dub and Tying the Knot their next Quintuplets-level dub.

Aside from the normal version being divided into more "bite size" chunks as has been noted, the director's cut is only available in English and Japanese audio, whereas the first season was available in more languages. If you wanted to watch the first season in the other languages, you're no longer able to.

Yes, sadly, as the voice actor passed away due to the cancer.

No, McCarley stopped working with CR due to their anti-union stance. You may be thinking of Billy Kametz.
