Been a while since we’ve heard from Not Ghibli, looking forward to it.

Between Colorido and Ponoc and even Maboroshi Netflix is really becoming a home for anime original movies.

Rudger is Amanda Shuffleup's imaginary friend. Nobody else can see Rudger--until the evil Mr. Bunting arrives at Amanda's door. Mr. Bunting hunts imaginaries. Rumor has it that he even eats them. And now he's found Rudger.

Soon Rudger is alone, and running for his imaginary life. He needs to find Amanda before Mr. Bunting catches him--and before Amanda forgets him and he fades away to nothing. But how can an unreal boy stand alone in the real world?

Aren't there a couple of movies.................

When two stories with similar premises debut around the same time, awkwardness is natural. We're about to have the latest case of this in 2024.

"IF" is about a young girl named Bea (Cailey Fleming) who can see people's imaginary friends. She then discovers her middle-aged neighbor (Ryan Reynolds) has the same power. "IF" is set for release in May 2024.

Even as Krasinski flexes his directorial skills in a different genre, a horror film about imaginary friends is releasing a couple of months earlier on March 8. "Imaginary," the latest jump scare monster movie from Blumhouse, follows a mother, Jessica (DeWanda Wise), and her stepdaughter Alice (Pyper Braun). Jessica finds her childhood teddy bear Chauncey and passes it on to Alice, but they discover something far more sinister than stuffing is contained inside the bear.

As titles for single movies aren't generally protected by either copyright or trademark, this shouldn't be an issue (different if it's a series or the title acquires unique meaning ie for example when it gets generally associated with the movie in question.).
