I didn’t watch the live action adaptation, but wasn’t there a big fuss over Emily Rudd/Nami’s hair looking like a wig?

As a whole the live action had some of the best makeup and practical effects I've seen in television so this is well-deserved.

Pre-release, and I wouldn't call it a "big fuss", but then again live-action adaptations of any kind tend to attract attention-simping bitches like flies to a lightbulb.

This was back during the pre-release nitpicking. With few exceptions, most of the posts were overly critical about how the series was coming along. They complained about the casting, Nami's hair, the main theme, the dialogue in the first trailer, etc. But once the series was released and people actually watched everything in context, the majority of posts were talking about how they always knew it would be a success. :p
With that said, the series is fantastic and I think the only live action show I bothered to watch this year other than Stranger Things? I don't generally watch a lot outside of YouTube, but One Piece managed to suck me in and convinced me to start reading the manga...and now I'm about 450 chapters in. So, I guess what I mean to say is...I hate this show, it ruined my life, I still have 700+ chapters left to read do you know what you did to me?!
and also that I hope this is the first of many nominations.

Honestly compared to how bad Arlong and the other fishmen looked, Nami's hair was the least concerning thing.
