Huh. I wonder if she had some beef with the editors or I.G. Port (as they own MagGarden) or if they are moving their pubishig assets?

I don't know about that, but I found out in an instagram page that her editor is now the CEO of Bushiroad Works, Inc., a publisher subsidiary within Bushiroad. Don't know if that helps clarify a bit, though. I did also found another web article related to this topic, but with little extra information I'm afraid.

Changing publishers is usually a pretty big deal; I hope the overall quality of the story doesn't change because of it(Not that I'm worried).

Was wondering if this would affect the spinoffs, but there's only one volume left in Wizard's Blue, and the other's been MIA after the artist ran into health issues.
But it looks like the Jack the Flash spin-off did get three new chapters earlier this year. Wonder if that was just a belated wrap up and we'll get a final tankobon in April along with everything else? |

As long as this doesn’t effect the American license.

Interesting. Well, as long as Yamazaki is happy with this change and it doesn't effect the English release...
So is the next arc going to be Chise and Elias dealing with magical beasts? |

He was at Anime NYC with Yamazaki-sensei and it seems like they were on good terms with each other. I assume that she enjoyed working with him a lot and that their editor & mangaka relationship stayed strong throughout the years for this to happen.
This could've been exciting Anime NYC news, but maybe it got delayed by contracts or soemthing. |

Mag Garden just posted a notice on their MAGCOMI website not too long ago stating that they are still publishing the spinoffs. |
