They’ll keep Seven Deadly Sins going but screw Eden’s Zero’s chances in America. Thanks Netflix (not even a SDS hater, just pissed about EZ)

Dargaud (Mediatoon?) got the license and sub-licensed it out to Crunchyroll and Anime Digital Network and probably other services too. animenewsnetwork.com/news/2023-04-01/france-mediatoon-acquires-edens-zero-anime-season-2-global-rights/.196674
I assume Netflix didn't re-license it due to it not doing very well.
Guessing NF will do the other half (13-24) 3-4 months later too for the new SDS anime.
Edited the post for more clarity

Same here.. mostly pissed about the dubbing situation because I watched the first season dubbed and loved it but now who knows when the second season will get one. Heard it had something to do with union stuff.

I've heard the second season was picked up for a Latin American Spanish dub, so it shouldn't be impossible on paper for Crunchyroll to eventually get the rights to dub this. If they do, they might wind up doing recasts. But even then, I don't know if they'd invest in one, because they completely stopped promoting the show after the first cour, which makes me wonder if it did even worse.

It probably did do worse. Manga discussion for EZ is pretty dead too, compared to other series out there.
I think it’s safe to say that the EZ franchise is a dud. I wouldn’t be surprised if S3 never gets made.

That would be a bummer.

We live in crazy times, Sentai (Hidive) could even license an English Dub for all we know.

Good for them. Too bad it will be finished airing already and already watched

This is a double-cour show, though.
