Thank you very much Lynzee for taking the time to put together this wonderful tribute! I don't think many fans would know about this person so instrumental in bringing dubbed shows we love to the US and I for one am happy to know something about her through this article. And now that I do, sad that this colorful person had to battle cancer and her "story" will not continue.

I recall a story from Steve Blum about recording for Samurai Champloo, where he mentions a Japanese woman who was very shy around him because she was a big fan of him, I wonder if Hiroe Tsukamoto is who he was referring to.

Thank you so much for this write-up. I'd never heard of Ms. Tsukamoto before the news of her passing, even though she was clearly very influential in the US anime industry and worked on many shows that I've loved.

I wish I was able to complete this sooner but I'm glad I was able to share Hiroe's career with everyone. Thank you to all her friends and colleagues for sharing their memories with me.

This was a lovely tribute and I thank you for putting it together.
So many lovely memories with Hiroe, and great conversations and laughs over a nice glass of wine. She certainly was one of a kind and it was an honor to work with her and see the industry grow around us.

I have such a hard time imagining Hiroe being shy...
