I feel like Occam's Razor can be applied to the Gary Bowser situation. Nintendo is legally compelled to protect its products, and Xecutor was selling products meant to modify the Switch without Nintendo's consent. Whether the punishment fit the crime is always going to be up for debate, but a punishment was warranted. I have a hard time seeing this as a referendum on the video game industry.

Right. New games exist. Meanwhile, I have one-star files on both Battle Network 1 and 2, and I'm about 10 hours into BN3: Blue. It's been a nostalgia trip, for sure. They went out of their way to backport the localized scripts to the original Japanese source code, just to give players more bugs to exploit! (I threw a TreeBomb on a Prism for the first time, entirely on accident. The second and third times I did it on purpose.) Battle Network 6 reportedly has the Boktai crossover back in ( Wink ), though you'll apparently need to switch to the Japanese display option for certain one-time chip drops (due to a new bug in the script replacement). My only gripes with the port are the lack of a "no border" option (as seen in Zero collection, so I assumed it would be standard), and that somehow, in the 20 years these games have been out, Capcom somehow missed that these games look terrible in HQ2X and made that the only available filter. Can't all be like Klonoa, I guess.

The previously-announced Xenoblade Chronicles 3: Future Redeemed DLC will be released on April 25
Too soon! I'm not ready. (Emotionally ready, I mean.) I swear Nintendo's real plan with these DLC releases is to very indirectly use playtime metrics see how many people will run like Pavlov's dog back to this franchise at a moment's notice. Hopefully they like what they see and give Monolith whatever funding they need for the next project.

We'll know next week when this drops on April 25th. Or rather, you'll know. I'm still chugging through Xenoblade 3. I'll catch up eventually...
You can do it! It's only about 100 hours... (For just the base game...) And after this last update, it can't possibly get any longer. Can it? I still have a suspended Atelier Ryza trilogy run to get back to when I'm done with Battle Network, so maybe you'll get there before I do.

I feel I'm missing something because I'm a dirty pirate myself but I have zero issue with hacker man being punished and don't find it to be some moral dilemma at all. There's a difference between pirating games and getting into the business of selling illegal copies, chip sets, and mods to make money off this stuff. I can preserve 3DS eShop games just fine without making money off it. I just download the roms and Citra is free.

The quandary isn't over 'should the person who broke the law be punished' but 'does the punishment fit the crime.' There are those who argue that its cruel and unusual to have such a large judgement that he'll have his wages garnished for the rest of his life with absolutely NO CHANCE of even paying it all off.

On a separate note, I thought that we were getting a hololive/world of WARCRAFT crossover and was thoroughly confused and excited for a hot second.
