I'm liking what I see, but the main highlight is....

Had the feeling it would be a Gen Urubuchi's work  If I'm not mistaken this is his first TV anime work in forever (since the first Psycho Pass?) Interest has skyrocketed now. Oh, boy January sure is shaping up to be quite the month anime -wise

Urobutcher, huh? This will definitely get it more attention, especially since it doesn't seem like his involvement is in name only.
But I feel like I've seen a series like this before.

Well he did just work on RWBY: Ice Queendom |
Urobuchi was credited on Ice Queendom for "Original Animation Concept" while the actual script writing was by Tow Ubukata.

I wonder if Gen is deeply involved in writing the story this time or if they're just using his name for brand name purposes again like with aldnoah zero and gargantia. If so, this show seems to be a return to his roots with its dark and edgy premise. His last few works have been totally lack luster so here's to hoping he brings his A game.
