Aw, I was hoping the trailer would feature “What a Wonderful World”. I hope they use it in the series.
Looking forward to seeing the rest of Stone Ocean!

They seriously went way too overboard with spoilers for this one. Multiple scenes that are meant to be major plot twists are just shown here without care.
And the production values continue to range from mediocre to below average, judging from this. Sucks big time.

I wish they just use the original title for this anime. Stone Free, not stone ocean.

What the hell are you talking about? This has always been Stone Ocean. Stone Free is the name of Jolyne's Stand.

The animation looks awful and this arc needs top tier animation. It's a shame that David Pro made such awful decisions with this one.

Certainly feels like they prioritized the Urusei Yatsura remake over this.
Either that or the whole Netflix "have x number of episodes out on this or that date" is partially to blame too. More than a few anime have been affected by it and/or Netflix's general lack of quality control.

One of the main members in the production comittee for Urusei Yatsura's remake is Fuji TV, which is DP's parent company. So I don't think that prioritizing it over Jojo was a conscious decision made by them, more so it was demanded of them. Plus it being a four-cour production means it naturally needed more resources.
That, and the fact that Naokatsu Tsuda, who was involved in every part so far in the directioral role, was not involved here - likely because he was busy with Tokyo 24th Ward, which also had it's share of production issues - means that Stone Ocean was already in a very bad spot from the start.

That may very well be the case. It doesn't help that they're taking way too many liberties with the source material for this batch of episodes. Like having the snails come after the "Fictional characters come to life" part of the arc.
