Pretty relieved for once that the key art ended up being inaccurate. From what I’ve gathered Makoto Uno drew it and seemed to of let his personal tastes show through a bit.

I don't know what you mean? Makoto Uno is the character designer of the show, and even in this PV the characters all basically follow his designs. The same we've seen in the key visual and character pages.

I thought it was obvious that she looks a lot skinnier in this preview trailer than she does in the key art.

She definitely looks thinner in the preview than in the initial promotional art.

I'm convinced no one actually cares about this show. They just want to argue about censorship and tummy size.

There can be discussion about the differences between promotional art and the actual animated characters.
I am actually relieved that the actual animation didn't look too shabby in the snippets we saw. That bodes well for the show.

I'm getting vibes that they're not showing off the really explicit fanservice and sex in this PV (I have no experience with this series prior).
The action looks solid though.

*sigh* So that's what you were talking about.
On second viewing, I suppose she does appear "thinner" in some of the shots in the PV, but this is more than likely just the variance in her being drawn by the numerous key animators. But even in those shots, her appearance isn't too far off from the main design. Regardless, the character sheets the animators all use are still Uno's work, and overall they still match or lean towards his aesthetic. All I'm saying is, don't get your hopes up about things looking drastically different from the key art in the show as a whole.
Personally, I think Uno's design for the character is amazing and a perfect fit for this kind of series. The fact that this has even become a point of contention among some fans is baffling to me. Did I time travel to two decades ago when everyone thought all anime girls had to be super thin?

I'm primarily a fan of Makoto Uno and studio Passione's work, true. But I do think this series can be interesting from a historical perspective because of the big influence it had in the early days of Narou, so I'm curious to check it out. It's interesting that this even got animated after all this time.

Same. I mean, if a decade old series can get an adaptation after all these years, just because it's influencial, then what's stopping me from not giving up on a complete adaptation of White Album 2?

With all due respect... How can anyone not fall for Roxanne's perfection in this? She don't miss. Yes, she doesn't look pregnant like in the previous artwork released.
So who made the better "Oath" song? Utada or Shiori?

You don't speak for me. If I didn't care about the show, I wouldn't be waiting for the BD to watch it and Roxanne in all their glory.
