So is Megan Shipman playing Yor or Anya? Her announcement tweet says Anya, but on Crunchyroll's blog, it says Yor.
EDIT: Looks like an error on Crunchyroll's part. This other CR article correctly lists the VAs and their roles. Last edited by harushiga on Mon Apr 11, 2022 10:45 am; edited 1 time in total |

I didn't plan to watch it, but the first episode was so great. I am in.

Good. I find Anya's voice to be too annoyingly high pitch in the Japanese. I wish they went with a child voice actress like they did for Sweetness and Lightning.

Why on twitch? Is CRs twitch channel that unpopular? Seems kinda desperate.

Interesting to note Alex Organ (Loid) left voice acting for a while a few years ago to take a leadership position with his theater company (most notable roles were probably Makishima in Psycho-Pass, Decim in Death Parade, and Aizawa in MHA, but only for the first season since he left before S2 started). This is the first time I’ve seen him on a cast list since outside of briefly popping up in Black Clover.

? It's an early livestream so they can have a live audience and chat reaction. CR and other sites have done this plenty of times before. |

I think this is exactly why they are doing this. I mean, they could just debut it on their website officially based on their usual schedule for all other shows, but SxF is blowing up very quickly so they gotta catch the hype train early, so they have to pull something together RIGHT NOW. A live stream seems quite fitting. |

I noticed that, too, and thought it was interesting. I hadn't heard why he stopped, but it sounded like he was still involved with other types of acting. |

I don't know why Crunchyroll doesn't do twitch streams more often. Anime streaming was a topic on the platform a couple of months ago that they could have taken advantage of.

Wow, that was surprisingly fast. I know it's probably one of the more higher profile releases of the season, but I wasn't expecting the dub to be ready that fast. I wonder if this has to do with Funimation resuming in-studio work?
It's cool that Alex Organ is returning in such a way as Loid (will he reprise Westcott for DAL season 4, maybe?), Natalie probably has her biggest anime role yet, and I'm sure Megan Shipman will deliver as adorable an Anya as Atsumi Tanezaki. The fact that they're casting Yor when the 2nd episode hasn't been released yet makes me wonder if they already have material ahead of time or if they're just casting from, like, the manga... I wonder if they'll be announcing casts and first episodes for more of the season sooner rather than later. |
