Oh, good. For a while there I was kinda worried they wouldn't finish this. I got a soft spot for Kengan, even if it's not the greatest. I think the better fights are in the last half, so I'm looking forward to it.

I keep saying it, martial arts/combat sports anime are huge for Netflix. This doesn’t surprise me one bit.

Is the first season worth watching? Other than being a Netflix CGI battle anime, I've heard mixed opinions.

I'm also among those who were worried this wouldn't happen, given how long it took for it to be announced, even though the first season reportedly did good numbers for Netflix. I enjoyed it almost as much as Baki, and I hope the next season gets to the end of the manga.

Wonder if the 2nd season will cut as much or be as jank animation as the first season. The low quality slow CG really didn't do a lot of the fights justice compared to the manga.

With how much they cut it might actually be a problem for them cause some of the story they didn't get to in just season 1 hinges on scenes and some chars they cut during it so we're gonna get some sloppy rewrites lmao

It’s a really fun show if you like character based stuff over plot based. The characters are fun and we meet a ton of them but the central plot is explained as being silly in-universe. Its comedy is also pretty good all things considered.

Also it at least tries its best to use somewhat real world martial arts.

It's fine by itself for Bloodsport-style martial arts series, though the CGI animation is on the real lowest side - it was a main debut for the supporter CG studio, and it not done the job really great. Though the most fun meme of it was the fact that Kengan Ashura was one of the main reasons that made it's director, Kishi Seiji, go full swole to the point that he became a prominent bodybuilder himself.

But really, it's kinda fun that its own spin-off was animated many times better than the main series.

F*CK YEAH! This show was way better than its animation implied it had any right to be, and I am so psyched for this next season.

The show's material and characters are quite fun the main issue has always been its piss poor looking and moving CGI animation. Its about damn time for season two looking forward to the english dub.

Nobody wants this since it's Netflix handling it again. They ruin everything possible through their cg and shit . First sds and some others and now this manga

I think the series was just fine. Seriously, if you don't like it, don't watch it. The manga is still there. But I love the music and the voice acting(the dub especially). I still think the CGI isn't horrible, but its not amazing. It does make some of the fights really fluid in a way traditional may struggle with. I still feel they should have done this animation for record of Ragnarok.
