Hahaha, that sounds awesome! I'll definitely be there with my video camera to record this piece of history.

well good luck with that. are they going to make sure everyone knows the dance frist? Because if only 20 hardcore fans know how to actually do the dance and the othe 1,000 or so don't it's probably not going to be all that spectacular.
Oh wait...this isn't as serious as I thought. Whoops. |

No but it would be very funny to see thousands people attempt to pull off the dance.....ahh I can see it now thousand of fans waving their fans and dancing back and forth, note to self be in the dealer room during that time. |

Hahahaha. How tempting, but I think I'd rather sit back and video tape it instead...!!

Uh... Wouldn't the fact that they're trying to organize it disqualify it from being considered "impromptu"?
Not that I wouldn't want to see it, because watching a large number of people dancing in the middle of a crowded area is always amusing, but still. Last edited by midorihebi on Fri Jun 15, 2007 12:49 pm; edited 1 time in total |

What's with the wimping out and being in dealers room, or behind a camera? Get in on the fun and learn the dance and join...
I can't be there, so let me live vicariously through one of you who can. If you are going to be there anyway, help them make it large event. |

It's not impromptu if you plan it, but hey, whatever works. It's too bad I won't be able to contribute to the awesome nerdiness. I mean, I learned the freakin' dance before I saw the series. <_<

did they say how many that was? and too bad they got broken up by the cops. but seriously- this show just came out here. Though there are super-fans not many people will know the dance. I guess giving this heads up gives some people the time to learn but still. Was the episode where the danced even on the 1st dvd? i wish I could go. |

I wish I could go too.
Boy it would be fun to see with all those Haruhi cosplayers. I wonder if Bandai will put it on one of the DVDs as an extra bonus. |

It seems even less impromptu that they're organizing it at an anime con instead of in the middle of city.
I wonder how the Akihabara group organized it, an anime FlashMob? That would be so awesome. |

This will be worth watching. It's either going to have a lot of two kinds of people, a lot of people who came over from Japan or a bunch of non-Japanese who are a bunch of nuts
