The visual looks good. That description sounds interesting enough for me to watch, especially since its from the creator of Koe no Katachi. I got faith in this.

Oh boy, that description does not do the series as a whole justice. Actually that description tells you almost nothing and is so vague it could mean anything.

I love the story of To your eternity but its very... out there. I'm hoping the animation, soundtrack and pacing of the anime will be enough to get people hooked on it to stay for the long run.

For a bit of background on the cultures of the location of this anime, if and when travel to Japan is possible again, try to spend a couple of nights in Abashiri, Hokkaido and include a visit to the Hokkaido Museum of Northern Peoples ( http://hoppohm.org/english/ ).

Also worthwhile is the Abashiri Prison Museum (lots of Golden Kamui references, https://www.kangoku.jp/multilingual_english/ ), the Okhotsk Ryu-hyo Museum ( https://www.ryuhyokan.com/guide/en/ ) and the Moyoro Shell Mound Museum ( https://www.abakanko.jp/en/seen/facility/moyorokaizuka.html ), all with good English content.
