Wheeeeeee!!! My fav magical girl manga is FINALLY gonna be an anime! I guess Koge Donbo must have heard our wishes! Oh yeah! Mai Nakahara is doing Karin while Miyuki Sawashiro is doing Kazune. Yay for Mai Nakahara! But...I wanted Yuki Kaida to do Kazune! Waaaaah! Oh well. Miyuki Sawashiro is good too! Maybe Koge Donbo likes Miyuki Sawashiro or something? After all, she did to Puchiko in Digi Charat and Kotaro in Pita Ten.

lol yeah i'm thrilled too. i always thought since i first started reading KK that it should be an anime, 'specially since several other works by Donbo were already. And now it's coming next month (to Japan)! And i'm really happy about Ms. Nakahara; i heard her voicing in Mai-HiME and i really liked it, so hopefully it'll be just as good as Karin! And as for Ms. Sawashiro... well, i haven't heard her yet, but i just learned she did the voice of Khi from Dears, and while i massively despite the fanservice overload of that series, i'd like to hear how she sounds as a male character. Wink

hoping for the best for KK's anime!

I'm just happy that we are getting some new magical girl anime. Though I have heard Kamichama Karin is supposed to be pretty good, I'm going to have to pick up the manga.

I'm not sure who to tell this to, but I signed the email 'Meyham' for a reason. Now that I have an account, I don't want to be called by my real name anymore (safety).

I can't wait either! The only things that worry me are if Kazune's voice actress can make a deep enough voice (the only other male she voiced was Kotarou from Pita Ten, and his voice was pretty feminine) and that 4kids TV doesn't get their hands on it!.........they have slaughtered so many great magical girl animes.

well, as far as the name thing goes: i'd recommened talking to an administrator and asking if you can get it changed. also, i'd recommened not saying exactly where you live (though your level of paranoia may be much lower than mine). Wink

and about 4kids: i've heard this all over the net, and i'll STILL say the same thing i always say: i couldn't agree with you more! i mean, i have nothing against the voice actors/actresses who were given the roels for the dub, many of them i really like, but the fact that 4kids' "editiing" and horrendous script-writing and plot alterations have essentially butchered dozens of well-named anime... makes me wanna cry. Anime cry personally, i've no idea who'll get the license for KK since, on the one hand; Synch-Point has the rights to Di Gi Charat, but then Little Snow Fairy Sugar is helmed by Geneon, so it could go either way... or even into an entirely different company's hands. Anime smallmouth

So many? So far the only magical girl anime they've actually done anything too is Tokyo Mew Mew, (well Winx club is arguable a magical girl show that is just not Japanese but Italian so perhaps two) and from what I've read on the 4-Kids edit-o-meter it fairs okaish... better than One Piece at least. I just wish they'd do SOMETHING with Pretty Cure, it's depressing enough that they have the licence but it they just sit on it that makes it even more painful, at least a dub would mean we could get cheaper merchandise.

Anyway yeah I hope they don't get there hands on it either, but if they do I wouldn't be surprised... that is the curse of enjoying anime aimed at children I'm afraid.

Cardcaptor Sakura was ruined by Nelvana, not 4Kids. As for Sailor Moon, I'm not sure, but I think DiC Entertainment is to blame. Not all messes are 4Kids' fault... Wink just, you know, most of the recent ones are. Laughing

Check out this site. Just type 'Sailor Moon Uncencored' into Google or some other search engine. You'll get this hilarious site that shows episode-by-episode what they did to the Sailor Moon series. There's a link for Tokyo Mew Mew uncencored too. You will laugh and cry at the same time.

Oh, and I'll be sure to inform the newsroom or forum of any new updates regarding KCK or KCK~chu. You can thank the Syuura forums for getting me obsessed with Koge Donbo.......

Oooh, thank you to whoever finally put up a picture for the Kamichama Karin anime, I was worried I'd have to do it myself. And great, now we have a TV Tokyo link! (Too bad the info is in the Japanese computer type that I don't think anyone can read....)

You are welcome. Compared with other April titles, the website of Kamichama Karin went online pretty late.

It is made of Flash and uses the default font and encoding of your operating system, so you have to change the default language of your OS from (I assume) US English to Japanese, then change it back after reading it; personally I wouldn't do that for just one page. Wait until it starts airing, and by TV Tokyo's tradition the page will use standard HTML then.
