Seems ANN took it to be original and that's what I'm hoping. But there is a Pluto anime being made, and I hope that's not what he's talking about because that's not a secret or anything. |

I wish someday, that "Billy Bat" would recieve an anime adaption. The story is really cool, and the mystery aspect is wonderful.

I know it already got a series of live-action movies (and they were mostly fine), but I'd love to see a 20th Century Boys anime.

Would be cool if we got Pluto and something else. Urasawa is more than overdue for a new long form anime.

+1000000000 Indeed. Every time a see Urasawa's name in this site my heart skips a beat and I hope it will be followed by the words "Pluto anime adaptation". Fingers crossed this time is for real and we are getting more info soon... |

I'd love an anime of 20th Century Boys, but anything would make me intrigued!

You could always import it from Australia. Siren visuals has the licence. |

^ I would've done long ago, but I don't have a region-free player.

I'm not knowledgeable about this but perhaps you can find a region hack for your device? |

I'm confident Discotek will eventually license it for the U.S. and upscale it for Blu-ray. They seem to have a knack for licensing a lot of Madhouse titles, because they know a lot of people like 'em. I was like a kid on Christmas morning when I heard they licensed Hajime no Ippo and were putting it on BD. It's a niche title, but a very popular one, just like Monster. Hell, I hope they even get Master Keaton or Yawara, someday. But I think they should start with Monster, since it's Urasawa's most notable title, then work their way down his anime catalog. God Bless Discotek. As for this announcement, I don't care what it is, as long as Madhouse is involved. Urasawa + Madhouse = goodness. Definitely wouldn't mind a cleaner, shinier reboot of Keaton, though. |

More Urasawa stuff you say? Hell yes, sign me up.
If you check Amazon, you can find region-free players and there are some very affordable ones. Trouble is, I don't think Siren Visual which put out Monster in Australia is around anymore and their titles are hard to find. Their website, which is where I got my copies of the series, has been defunct for years now. |

If they get Master Keaton, here's hoping it's a SD Blu-ray because the Japanese upscale for that one looks bad. I'm more for Yawara though, not because of Urasawa but because the lead is voiced by one of my favorites and I missed out on the incomplete AnimEigo DVDs plus the Japanese BDs for that look very good. |
