Actually it's "original SD versions". Looks like the discs here will be DIFFERENT than the upcoming standard edition release with both HD and SD episodes on each disc.

Yes, the HD Versions are on BD and the SD versions are on BD-SD. 2 sets of discs in this ultra set. We'll contact ANN to fix up the typo.

Been looking forward to this for a while, and impressed with the work Rightstuf is putting in. I went about 2k into the birthday sale, so the timing isn't great, but I won't be billed till December, so it's fine.

I wonder if Destiny, which is a lot more controversial, is going to get a similar treatment. I'm in the group that is not huge on that show, but I might pick it up anyway to complete the series.

When I meant both HD and SD episodes on each discs, I thought I meant like there are like five HD episodes per disc, that same disc also containing those same five episodes for the SD version (six if it includes a recap episode not in the Remaster version).

Been waiting years for this, I wonder what took so long. Is Sunrise really hard to deal with or something?

I look forward to the new English dub. Would be nice if they made a 5.1 mix for it but I don't expect it.

And preordered. Thanks for the heads up ANN.

I'm probably also interested in BDs for Destiny's HD remaster so I hope that is coming too, but I don't think I'd but the collector's edition.

Good news! I do wonder what will happen with Gundam SEED C.E. 73 Stargazer. I'd love to see that arrive, especially with a dub. Maybe it could be packaged with the shorter Astray OVAs, too.

I'm in the camp that actually finds some value in SEED Destiny. If you haven't seen it, don't write it off. It's uneven, but some of its highs are actually higher than SEED, in my opinion. But I have the old Bandai sets and am not sure if I'll upgrade. Even with the RS birthday sale, I'm still catching up on a few of the series I missed altogether and debating whether to upgrade other Gundam releases that I'm more fond of than SEED and company.

I find it best to go into Destiny like its Code Geass. If you go into it to enjoy over the top craziness then Destiny is decent enough. I just hate how they bring back a character that obviously died and make his death in SEED lose its impact for me. Thats Destiny for you, its bonkers. Gundam character have been brought back from the dead so to speak but it wasn't completely obvious they died, that SEED character exploded and we saw his helmet flying in space. How could anyone survive that? lol

Good to see I can finally get rid of my massive shelf-space-hogging DVD set soon. It certainly took quite a while for this one.

That was pretty bull shit, but honestly I think they crapped on half of the returning cast.

The set looks great and would probably go well with my Wing Ultra set and now incoming G Ultra set. Not sure if I'll pick it up though. If there was an Ultra Lite version with all the content, but leaving out the SD episodes and saving a little, that would probably be a shoe in for me.

I hope Destiny gets a similar treatment (nice packaging, artbook etc) to go with it.

Hmm, if that happens, maybe we can get a complete Seed Ultimate set with both series and the Ultimate extras or at least the two artbooks?

Thankfully there's a date for this as it's a series i've been meaning to get a hold of. Additional thanks to having both the original audio and NYAV audio available even if im not a fan of the NYAV cast.

If you are talking about Rau, then no he wasn't in Destiny. Rey was a clone of Rau
