That's great but I wonder, will MHA season 5 may follow a split cour trend? Because some animes who have late seasons ended up split cour like Attack on Titan, SAO, Food Wars, Slime anime and recently, Haikyuu.

Wasn't this announced a few days ago? Maybe I saw it on Twitter or something. Thought it was here. Either way, hopefully it won't be as slow paced and dull as 4 was. Hopefully episode 25 of s4 will at least have a good fight.

Do you read MHA manga? If not, I can't spoiled of what's going to happen in season 5 but I'll will tell you one hint. If MHA season 5 air second cour I think, spoiler[ there will be "My Villain Academia" arc and it will be more darker than Overhaul Arc.]

I'm hiding spoilers because not all MHA watchers are reading manga.

That was a leak from next week's Shonen Jump. Today's the official announcement.

Season 4 was great and the chop festival finale was one of the best moments in the whole series. Seriously, MHA is so much more than just action. I don’t get how people ignore its good qualities just to whine constantly

This is great and all but I wish they would get around to doing season 1 of Vigilantes. I've been enjoying that as much as I have the main story.

As a general rule, I find Western audiences prefer the show when it’s more X-Men and less Japanese high school. It also says something that one of the characters has to defend the school festival idea in-universe against someone who wants it cancelled.

Well its more that certain audience prefer's "action, action, action" then anything else. Its rather telling that any extended sequences that don't have tremendously high stakes & is more character focused than plot focused is regarded as filler by these people.

Bull! The whole Gentle/ La Brava part of the season was great It was not action, action, action, and it was so much more interesting and fun than the drawn out, boring school festival bs. I love slice of lice, but this was just a snore.

I hope season 5 is better because season 4 was disappointing. And before anyone starts getting the wrong idea, I did not find season 4 disappointing because it did not have enough action or too much slice of life. My Hero Academia is in my opinion the best shounen action show ever made (based on the first 3 anime seasons), and it is a shame to have a weak-ish season.

Well too be far every show has its slumps to go along with the highs. Some arcs are more regarded than others, some aren't. They can't all be absolute winners, that's just how it is. Look at One Piece, plenty of great arcs, but also several weak ones in between.

I'm on the side of people who were disappointed by MHA season 4. Not because of the decreased amount of action, and instead because the series started to rely on a lot of tropes that keep me away from a lot of anime.

I was mostly disappointed by the "big battle" with the "big hero" vs "big baddie" in the middle of season 4 and the lack of character development for females of the cast. MHA is still among the shows I want to watch, but my enthusiasm has decreased as the series continues.

This season adapted 65 chapters. Many episodes covered 4 cahpters. I don't know how much faster you want them to be. haha
