Go, SpyxFamily!
KnY's anime deserves nominations and awards, the manga is mediocre.

Mediocre? If you think the Kimetsu manga is mediocre then you haven't read truly mediocre manga.

The storytelling is too repetitive, lots of plot conveniences and sob backstories, the art is confusing, especially in the fight scenes, the characters are one-dimensional, the main heroine is underused, the villain's motivation is generic. Calling the manga mediocre is a compliment.

I thought I was the only one who had an issue with the depiction of fights in the manga, especially the panelling. I understand the author has to work on a weekly schedule, but I wish there was more variety. My other main issue is the pacing, red light district arc and the current arc are such a slog. It doesn't help that every 2 chapter has the same cliffhanger.

I agree with you on the storytelling being repetitive, but that same complaint can be applied to countless battle oriented series. And I don't really see the problem with the sad backstories. I mean yeah most of the characters have one, but most of them are really damn good like Akaza's and Kokushibou's. Personally, the backstories are my favorite thing about the manga. I can agree with you on the art being confusing in the early arcs, but I haven't had a problem with it in a really long time. How far have you read if you don't mind me asking?
I gotta say I have never understood the complaint about the heroine being underused. The whole point of Tanjiro's story is trying to make Nezuko human again, because being a demon is supposed to be an awful thing. Nezuko probably would be used more if she could talk, stand in the sun, and not need to sleep to recover, but then what would be so bad about being a demon? I mean despite all that she still gets 1 or 2 big moments pretty much every arc which is a hell of a lot better than most main heroines in shonen battle series, ESPECIALLY if we're talking about Weekly Shonen Jump.
I'll say this again. IMO I find the series to be far from mediocre and I think that you haven't read any or many truly mediocre series. If you want to check out some truly mediocre series I recommend giving Zipman, Samurai 8, and The Last Saiyuki a look. Kimetsu isn't mediocre if it has a problem its that it's unoriginal, but being unoriginal doesn't instantly make a series mediocre.Truly mediocre series don't last long in Jump.

I would have to go with The Blue Period. Kind of a bland selection.

KnY is basically a reimagining of Dororo, so not surprised to see it listed.
