I wonder why...

For now, I guess I’ll watch something from my backlog on Mondays.

So after watching the last episode spoiler[and then seeing the promotional image in this news, it seems that the ripped paper over the three dead characters was a sign of how they would die. Hanged, a shot through the head and chopped up into pieces]

Just some speculation. I have heard that this anime is big in Japan and they are doing some sort "promotion" not sure what they trying achieve, but ok. Other logical explanation they want all 5 episodes out at once like they did at the start of this anime with 3 episodes for more impactful experience. Last one could be production issues, but I really doubt.

Probably we will know soon what have happened.

This anime is very offensive. But it has nothing to do with the brutality and gore in it; it is offensive because of how stupid the writing has become. Magase is a ridiculous, caricature villain with no rhyme or reason. I might drop this show after watching the unfortunate episode 7.

Good opportunity to retreat to some wholesome heart-warming series and maybe stay in rehab without returning to this show.

I really enjoyed the suspense and psychological elements until episode 6. The series was my season favorite because I loved how it told a thrilling refreshing crime story while integrating interesting philosophical subjects and ideological ideas.

Now the grotesque end of episode 7 caused a lot of headache and Vietnam flashbacks from Psycho Pass after episode 11... The feeling as you are watching people constantly driving towards a cliff without any sign of evasion or positive progress.
Especially progress regarding all the mysterious circumstances is what I miss from the start. Maybe my expectations are just wrong, still I really hoped that there was some kind of explanation or logical reveal to all of that. It is still possible though that there is a scientific aspect behind all the strange events but I got rather the feeling the show will go another direction and apparently favor a more dark and pessimistic outcome which I wouldn't like.

I have mixed feelings about this. Maybe I should just wait and see what others will say about the future episodes because I don't want to waste my time with a pure disturbing train wreck series where the main character become insane with every new step.

I was also disappointed in the last episode, I'm thinking of dropping this show. They turned MC and his secretary into morons and dumbed down Magase into some crazy edgelord (edgelady?) villain just so they spoiler[could brutally kill off one of the only interesting characters and practically only woman that's not secretly Magase after already killing off his friend and other guys and establishing how dangerous she was. It felt to me like she was "fridged" just to make MC suffer so Magase could spout some dumb pseudo-philosophical vilain nonsense]. I though they were going in some interesting places with the villains, but alas. There's plenty of other shows to watch.
