This is interesting. I wonder if they will make any references to Sony being a Japanese company...

Can’t wait for the first trailer to end with “Change Leopardon!”

Leopardon needs to appear as well for this to fully work. Toei Spidey isn't the same without his giant leopard robot.

Am I the only one that reads that as confirmation that they've got a design for him, not confirmation that he'll be in the movie? Seems like a huge assumption to make based on just saying the design is done, I'm guessing they went and did Spider-verse designs for all of the strange, out there versions of Spider-man like how we saw punk Spider-man hanging out in the ending credits.
I do want him to show up in the movie, though, this movie needs a bigger robot.

I hope this ends up actually coming to be. The Emissary of Hell must rise again. Leopardon too, of course.

It would be great if this could lead to the Spider-man Toei show finally being released in the US since they're aware now of how much fan demand there is for it. The first Spiderverse movie was already an impressive film and the sequel already looks to be off to a promising start.

Actually, Phil Lord had said if Into The Spider-Verse crossed $200 million at the box office, he would put Toei’s Spider-Man in the sequel.
Since that happened, he is making good on that promise.

Loved the Spider-Verse concept and movie. Since they had a "Anime Girl" "Spider-Man" it's only fitting we have Japanese Spidey. Now, can we get Man-Spider?? I really wanted to see that since he was advertised for the original but was cut for VA contractual complications I heard...

It would certainly be great to see, even if he only has a small role in the movie. If he's there, I expect Leopardon would also be there too. And honestly, a giant robot in spiderman would be a great merchandising opportunity.
Also, I do hope that this does lead to a DVD release of the series (and the movie too, of course), cause it really does deserve it. They already have subs for it (from when they had it up for streaming), and printing a small number of copies wouldn't be too costly. To market it, all they would really need to do is show that interview Stan Lee did for when it was released in Japan over a decade ago, where he talked about it so highly and was full of praise. (it's anyone interested in watching it)
