No Kitaro this season? Sad

Most of my picks that didn't make it I knew wouldn't because they rarely do, but aside from Kitaro, I think my biggest disappointment is that RobiHachi didn't get in. I expect it to offer up some prime parody and wtf-ness if the first ep is any indication.

I am however pleased to see that Jacob will be reviewing Sarazanmai, since his analyses (npi) of Ikujara joints are extremely helpful and may motivate me to stick with it.

Just joining the chorus here—the Kitarō reviews were about the only ANN streaming reviews to which I ever really paid full attention. They shall be sorely missed.

This, pretty much. RobiHachi seems to be some great stupid-funny-parody stuff, that I love in my seasons full of well...other not that... Ah, well. I'll enjoy it on my own without reviews.

Everything else I wanted got in though (except for the ones I knew absolutely wouldn't cause their not that great, but I'm invested...those being Bakumatsu and Million Arthur second seasons).

Poor Hitori Bocchi. The series thought it could make friends with ANN's non-forum-goers reader base, but that's definitely not the case. Sad

Yeah, huge shame that it did not make the cut, I really wish someone can pick it up for weekly reviews.

Due to reducing the number of shows we'll be covering per season to twenty, Rebecca Silverman will be wrapping up her reviews of GeGeGe no Kitarō this week.

After keeping up with the show and its reviews for months now, this is actually extremely disappointing to hear from ANN.

I was about to say that all of the show I'm currently watching are being reviewed then I went to the comment section and realised that Hitori Bocchi isn't gonna be reviewed. Guess she couldn't make friends after all Crying or Very sad

Joining the folks who are sad about Kitaro not getting weekly reviews anymore, but i guess it can't be helped...glad to have Jacob back on board, though!

Well, here's hoping that good but less popular shows will still be able to get some time in the spotlight in features like This Week In Anime for example.

Everything new I voted for got in, but I threw in a vote for Kitaro because I knew there were people watching/discussing it and didn't want them to get cut off. Sad

Sad to see the end of the GeGeGe no Kitarō reviews but after reading about the schedule being reduced to 20 shows I figured that it would likely get cut. Japanese yokai shows are a niche in western anime and based on the number of people that give ratings on Crunchyroll episodes even an average isekai show would have at least 20 times the viewing audience. After watching a year of episodes though I can see why GeGeGe no Kitarō has been a very popular series in Japan for more than 50 years.

Most important thing out of all of this is Theron gets to review Isekai Quartet. I dont think I've even seen him so happy about a show like he is for this

Much appreciated, but it seems we won't be having any more Kitaro reviews. A loss, really.
