This is an adaptation of a manga much like the other works you mentioned. Doga Kobo did nothing over it except adapt a existing story to another media.
And the failed male office worker is great on the series.

It looks good and while the joke about him putting her outside is as old as the Flintstones it still got a laugh out of me. The manga started in October 2017 and hopefully the quick turn around time on the anime adaptation is an indication that it has a good story.

this is what would be dragon maid if the protagonist were male ... looks like a generic harem in every rule just look at the trailer to know the crap that will be the protagonist, totally disgusting.

It's not harem. This is lot more slice-of-life than Dragon Maid.

it could also be the case of yuru yuri where they changed the brother of Akari for a sister.
