You know with this gap, this might as well be a new season.

This portion of the series is my favorite. Now closely followed behind the content currently going on in the manga. It’s going to be wild.

This upcoming season is one of the best arc in AoT. This is going to be wild.

Returning with new episodes after a few-month hiatus shouldn’t always mean a new season.

Look at Ojarumaru for an example. The seasons of that show run from April to mid June, then from October to mid December under the same season number.

And we now know what the last ep. will be. The season after this one will have a strange start due to this. Especially for those who don´t keep track of who is who, aside of the core trio and Levi.

Even US shows occasionally take breaks for 2 to 3 months during a season´s run. See Gotham S04, so it´s not an anime only occurrence. This half year break is a bit long of course.

knowing the studo; it was probably planned to be be a single back to back season from the sart, but the production derailed and they caught that early to split the season before there were serious consequences.
