I'm guessing you don't know anything about Gundam. The one they are making it move, RX-78 is Canonically 18 meters while the one in Tokyo, Unicorn Gundam is canonically 22 meters. Making it bigger is not making any sense.

Um, pardon me for perhaps asking the obvious question, but...

If it moves, then isn't it no longer a statue?

It was a joke, also knowing the Measurements of each Gundam goes beyond something

Technically if it moves it's either a large scale Robot or Mecha. It would probably boil down to how they classify it for Vehicle purposes to be frank though.

Though now i want to get my qualifications to be a Gundam Pilot. Do you think they have an Intership program for pilots Laughing

They want it to light the Olympic flame.

Wel, you got a year and a half to advance robotics to make it work. Get on it.

I wonder if this thing going be like old style robot shuffle toy. With perhaps a track under the base of the statue shuffling (walking) moving it's arms.

There so much you can do as statue / animatronic thing with it breaking.
