Like anyone is really surprised that its going to be a movie Razz. Kyoani always does that. first a season or two and then a movie.

I wonder if its a direct follow up after S1 final scene. And if the movie sticks to the source material.

Violet Evergarden already looked gorgeous as a TV show so I can't wait to see how it looks as a movie.

Later than I expected lol.

@Cardcaptor Takato, knowing KyoAni, it won't really look much better. Not to trash their quality at all - their TV shows are just that good.

Compare Violet Evergarden to their gorgeous "recent" A Silent Voice movie. In my opinion Violet Evergarden is a top tier production in visuals and animation.

Well that's also down to artistic direction. A Silent Voice was sticking close to the visuals and style of the manga.

Violet Evergarden is gorgeous though. Hopefully the movie is an all new story. But won't that also be Netflix exclusive?

For me, VE is a closed story.

spoiler[She has accepted that perhaps the Major is dead and she had moved on with her new live. I consider that a closed case. Unless they bring the Major back otherwise, if it is just a general story from the general arc, I can't see a lot of interest.]

Even I think the extra episode on the final DVD is likely to be an episode that was make initially but not good enough for the TV release and required rework hence the delay. Consider the song(s) from the extra episode was already on the OST.........
