This looks like a cool contest but a little esoteric, being as how you need photoshop and a digital camera to enter it. Question, can someone use the Gimp?

I'm sure you can use whatever photomanipulation software you like. |

Are we allowed to edit famous pictures with our faces or something into them?

I'm pretty sure you can do whatever you like, so long as it fits the theme and is rated PG-13. Just photoshopping your head onto a famous photo is unlikely to win, though. Try and be more creative than that. |

It looks like you guys have a fun place to work!
At my job I sit in the middle of a vast array of tan cubes and we're not allowed to have posters and junk all over our walls. Of course, I still put up a 6 foot laminated Simpsons poster and brought in a real-life flail (mideval weapon with spiked metal balls on the end of metal chains attached to a short wooden staff) to lay on my cube's bookshelf, but most people follow the rules and keep things real dull and drab. |

I liked the way the Doggie Poo plushie prize was in the 18+ category. Is it really that offensive?

Does the photo have to be photoshoped or can we just send it in as is if the photo is already funny?

Dude, I'm sure it's been said already that you can send it in any way you like, as long as it's funny and rated PG13. Did you bother looking at the picture they use as example: Naughty No photoshop, it's already funny. Last edited by darkhunter on Sat Dec 03, 2005 4:02 pm; edited 4 times in total |

You can leave the photo as it is just make sure its funny, I suppose. The thing I'm sure everyone wants to know is does the photo have to be at a certain resolution

If the picture is already funny, you can submit it as is. But, Photoshop (or whatever other editor you want to use) gives you more chances to be creative and silly. The naughty picture is actually photoshopped, because the actual Doggy Poo plush is like, 5" long http://www.rightstuf.com/cgi-bin/catalogmgr/tNXQor0dXlO5IVea40/browse/item/66048/4/0/0 |

Nope. As long as it looks good. I mean, if it has really low resolution and we can't even see what's going on, it probably won't get its point across. At the same time, we don't want some giant 5000x5000 20mb behemoth. |

There are zillions of websites and books to show you how it works (just do a search on your favorite search engine). If you can't afford the latest version of photoshop, then either look for an older version or try something cheaper and easier like Photoshop Elements. It's not that hard once you have a chance to really play around with it. |
