Seems there's been a big flood of anime-company-TV news lately.
. . . anyone else think we should be keeping an eye on Viz? |

I know that this is only to fuel the Great Big Hype Machine, but is this a sign that the Corporate Anime Wars are starting?

Why do you think they choose Gunparade March instead of Gunparade Orchestra?

They might just have registered the domain to prevent anyone else using it for dispreputable purposes. Or, perhaps, for a website to specifically promote Bandai properties currently on CN/AS and other television outlets.
I wouldn't make too much of this yet. I'd make a comment about TAN, Funimation, and Bandai (or, maybe pretty soon, just Funi and Bandai) cannibalizing each other's chances at getting their linear channel "carriage" on major cable outlets, but we don't even know Bandai's plans as of yet. |

not to mention that the .tv suffix isn't unique to the USA. bbc.tv isn't an American network after all.

There's other sites with the .tv suffix. This doesnt mean jack.

I agree, it would make sense for a company of such size and resources to simply snap up all the realestate with it's name. I see no relation of this top portion to the 3rd part of this article. (which does seem look to be swiped from somewhere familiar.....) I guess you guys are starving for some kind of special attention today. |

I just wish normal cable could have some sort of Anime Channel. I'm stuck with Adult Swim and Toonami (while they are ok) I much rather see my stuff uncut and all.
Oh well,I'm used to buying stuff. |

It would seem rather odd though for an established company, though. It's not like they're not interested to expand thier business (which is growing somewhat, correct?). I'm not jumping to conculsions, but why waste their time to site a potential resource? I would think it would at least be some sort of promotion/advertising scheme.
Would it not have an ".co.uk/" attached, as well? If it's official, I mean. |

It's possible that it could be related to this: http://bandaitv.jp/

When you play on this level you have your employees scoop up these domains without much of a thought or afterthought put into it. |
