Very excited about this news. A true Magical Girl JRPG is something I'm very interested in experiencing, and the fact that this is from some of the Atelier staff is a big boon in its favour.
I will definitely be looking to add this one to my PS4 library when it releases in North America.

Yeah, me too. Oh well, still gonna buy it for the PC, though.

So does the game have dating sim elements? I wasn't sure since since the lead was female but if it's yuri then that works. Just curious since while Steam has a decent selection of dating sims there's none to be had on PS4 (that have been localized in the US anyway) to my knowledge (I love Persona but that's not quite the same). Either way even if it doesn't have dating sim elements I'll still pick it up if it's good.

I'm totally thrilled that Blue Reflection is finally debuting in the West!
A bit disheartening that PS Vita players won't be able to enjoy the title, however...

Do you know if there's actual romantic elements, or just a heavily woman focused game with some subtext?

Reposting what I wrote elswehere so people get an idea of what to expect:
1) Despite being part of Gust's Bishojo Matsuri, the "yuri baiting" is minimal in this game. There's only one side character that can be considered like this, and technically speaking the game doesn't really touch the overall romantic relationship angle that much, save for another side character (but in this case it's a conventional one);
2) The story is the main focus: the game is laughably easy and if you min max you can basically cumberstomp everything. There's also no need to fight enemies save the story mandated ones, unless you want to craft items, as they don't give any XP (the leveling up system is different and it's mostly on-rails);
3) The OST is excellent, no doubt;
4) While the characters are decently animated in battle and movies, in the cutscenes they are robotic - and the extremely odd camera angles and cuts between cutscenes don't help;
5) Only the main story is voiced - the side story events (essential to get a minimal development of the side characters) are unvoiced, and that's a shame;
6) Much like Yoru no Nai Kuni / Nights of the Azure, the entire setting (the supernatural part, that is) is mostly hinted and not explained in detail.
Despite all this I enjoyed the game. The story may not be breaking new grounds, but it's fine (even if sometimes you can see odd jumps in tone due to the fact that there were three writers involved). The DLC is mostly pointless (costumes) so it can be skipped entirely. The fanservice is there, but aside a few sequences it didn't really bother me.

Huh, this game seems like it's totally up my alley! I love ballet, having been a dancer for several years, and magical girls are one of my favorite things. The character designs are very appealing.
That being said, if the transformed version of the MC on the promo art is supposed to be a ballerina, a load of things are off. Most notablely, her leg is jutting out at an awkward angle--with the way her hips are turned, her leg should be behind her instead of to the side. Also her fingers are positioned a little too stiffly for ballet. I question the choice of high heels for ballet and pray to kamisama that she isn't gonna go en pointe in those disasters.
But, what do I know? Maybe I'm just uptight. I admit I'm a stickler for accuracy when it comes to ballet in media because so many people seem to get it wrong. Hopefully this game is well-reasearched.

Hi, zazza345 from Gematsu.

Translation: Yuri fans, please stop having fun.
No offense to that. Anyway, thank you for the wonderful details.

Aww, no yuri romance then, what a shame. Well, I was looking at some videos, and altough I found the gameplay to be very so-so and uninpresive plus the story didn't seem like anything special either, the OST and the visuals, along with the overall atmosphere are all simply amazing, so I'm going to pick this up nevertheless. Atelier's artist did a good job on the character designs too, as always.

Well, it's also written by an author visitors of this site should know - Kino no Tabi's author wrote the parts for Hinako (main character) and other five side characters. The other two authors worked on the others.
