A shame but not unexpected, a fair few things getting resolved in the last couple of volumes (I think, from what I could gather anyway). Looking forward to the final volume to complete my collection.

I assume they said that because a lot of anime that adapt an ongoing manga have anime original endings or just have open endings, like the anime for this manga had. Hell, I wouldn't even call it an ending, seeing as spoiler[a new set of stairs was revealed] in the final episode. |

Methinks you might have misunderstood the article somewhat?... The manga in Japan is ending. There's no English publisher for it (yet at least)... |

Heya.
The live action is a beast of its own: even though it contains explicit sex scenes and over the top "Japanese acting", it actually nails the ending spoiler[in which Hiyori and Mitsuki are actually split personalities living in the same body. Hiyori's personality was born the day of the traffic accident in which she did NOT die (but her father did).] (beware, hard spoilers). I am actually very glad I watched the live movie because it left me with a sense of closure. Now, I haven't read the manga but I can tell you that the anime ends with a spoiler[big fat "To Be Continued"] (light spoiler, be not afraid to click it), yet I enjoyed the story alot. The characters grew within me, and IMHO the artstyle was gorgeous to look at; it reminded me to the Idolm@ster shows which I idolize (no pun intended). Yes, the story was left in the dust but... hehe... let's not spark that discussion again. A lot has already been discussed. I cannot wait to read the English manga (unlikely) or to watch a future season 2 (unlikelier)! I'll be happy if it's half as good as the live film. |

I would like either to happen. I don't read manga digitally, but this may be one of those series I'd read if it was only distributed digitally by an English publisher. The other series I'm thinking of doing this for is InariKonKon...but have yet to bite the bullet... |

IIRC, this franchise didn't do that well on Japan screens

Very poor sales indeed. I wonder what went wrong; at the end of the say this series is pretty much Oreimo 2.0: incest, romance, little sisters, love triangle, etc. I guess it came at the wrong time after all the backlash? Who knows |

Maybe it wasn't as popular because they revealed they were step siblings? |
