Anime Boston 2025 Announces Third Round of Voice Actor Guests
BOSTON — Anime Boston, the largest anime convention in New England, announced Bryson Baugus, Steve Blum, Caitlin Glass, Kirk Thornton, and Kari Wahlgren will be appearing at Anime Boston at the Hynes Convention Center, Boston, Mass, on May 23 through 25, 2025.
Bryson Baugus is a Dallas-based voice actor, singer, and stage actor. He is known for voicing many roles in anime and video games such as Shoyo Hinata (“Haikyu!!”), Nagi Seishiro (“BLUE LOCK”), Falco Grice (“Attack on Titan”), Gepard Landau (Honkai: Star Rail), Bell Cranel (“Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon?”), Akihiko Nirei (“WIND BREAKER”), Pegasus Seiya (“Saint Seiya”), Sherbet Cookie (CookieRun: Kingdom), Takumi Aldini (“Food Wars!”), and many others.
Guinness World Record holder Steve Blum has been a pro voice actor for over 35 years. He is best known as the voice of T.O.M., the robot host from Toonami, since 2000, Spike from “Cowboy Bebop,” Mugen from “Samurai Champloo,” Zeb from “Star Wars Rebels” and “The Mandalorian,” Wolverine from X-Men cartoons and games (for over 20 years!), Starscream from “Transformers Prime,” Amon from “Legend of Korra,” and literally thousands more. In the gaming world, you've heard him as Tank Dempsey from Call of Duty: Black Ops, Grunt from Mass Effect 2 and 3, Sub-Zero and Baraka from Mortal Kombat, and most recently as Wolverine and Venom in Marvel Rivals. Caitlin Glass is a voice actor and ADR Director. Best known for the role of Winry Rockbell in “Fullmetal Alchemist,” she has been working in the anime industry since 2004. Her directing credits include the English dub of “Ouran High School Host Club.” Some of Caitlin's other notable roles include Haruhi Fujioka in “Ouran High School Host Club,” Mina Ashido in “My Hero Academia,” and Damian Desmond in “SPY x FAMILY.” In video games, she has voiced Ember in Borderlands 3, Clever in Tiny Tina's Wonderlands, and more.
Prior to voicework, Kirk Thornton had careers in the theater, film, and TV industries. Directors found that Kirk had voice acting talent, so they entrusted him with roles such as Askeladd in “Vinland Saga,” Gabumon and the various Garurumons in “Digimon,” Jin in “Samurai Champloo,” Tanjuro in “Demon Slayer,” Kisame and Shukaku in “Naruto,” Yujiro Hanma in “Baki,” and more. Some of his video game roles include Shadow in Sonic the Hedgehog, Igor in various Persona games, and Saïx in Kingdom Hearts. He can also be heard in “Star Wars: The Clone Wars,” “Love, Death & Robots,” and “Clarence.” Directing credits include Final Fantasy VII Remake, Fantasy VII Rebirth, Kingdom Hearts, and more. Kirk has also voiced the holy trinity of Batman, Superman, and Jesus.
Kari Wahlgren was first introduced to anime audiences as the voice of Haruko in “FLCL.” Since then, she has voiced hundreds of characters in anime, animation, and video games. Some of her many anime roles include Saber in “Fate/Zero” and “Fate/stay night,” Celty in “Durarara!!,” Fuu in “Samurai Champloo,” Dee Eye Ell in “Sword Art Online,” and Anemone in “Eureka Seven.” Outside of anime, she has voiced Jessica, Rick's Spaceship, and Diane in “Rick and Morty,” as well as Zatanna in “DC Superhero Girls.” Video game roles include Kitana and Mileena in Mortal Kombat 11 and 1, Harley Quinn in Gotham Knights, and more.
