Read more carefully
Also, why would they make a manga of this. I loved the series, but unless they choose to churn out more drama than the series did, I don't see a point here. Light novel would have been more interesting though.

What is the manga going to cover though? Hopefully not rehashing the story because it's hard to beat the anime. Side story? Seems hard without altering the original story from the anime, since most of their lives were interconnected. Life afterward? I'd be interested in that.

It'll be interesting to see whether they go past the story covered by the anime, it felt like there was still a bit more that they could have done.

Do want. Epic series was epic despite being relatively short. Did anyone else get emotional during the final episode?

I laughed, does that count? I think the word I'm looking for rather than "epic" is "histrionics".
2 deliberately affected or self-consciously emotional; overly dramatic, in behavior or speech.
Yep, that's it.
And now it's getting a manga. Joy...
Se that? That was underplaying. Anime characters don't have to milk the giant cow.

I must of missed something here. When I say "epic", I didn't mean the series had alot of action and fighting and the whole speech of "I'm going to protect you for the sake of this world!" blah blah.
And yes, the series does create emotion like Rumbling Hearts, Clannad, etc. I liked the small cast of characters and the theme of the series.
Have you seen the series before? Have you read the reviews on MAL and the fact that it's ranked #23 out of thousands of other animes on its extensive collection? Oh, it's there for a pretty damn good reason. Original anime is original. It doesn't use the common theme of protecting the world, love triangle dramas, or the harem cliche. I'll admit it does have flaws especially in the entertainment department. However, its attempt to generate emotion similar to some of other Key's works succeeded. It's a character driven anime with strong dialogue and backstory. Hell, even the voice actors does a good job imo for conveying the series.
As for the "histrionics" that you're talking about hmm, the opening theme, "Aoi Shiori by Galileo Galilei" features a sequence that shows the characters in their past/present forms which alludes to their emotional state of being. The music and OST also brings a light theme to the series. How is that funny?
Anyways, I consider it to be one of top 10 favorites from last year.

I gotta admit this made me chuckle a bit, but the anime was all over the place, and it kinda dealt with the basic concept of.. "Do I wanna love/bone this ghost chick? .. NO no no no no ... wait.... etc etc"
Which really didn't help me become a fan either.
