Wow.

Basing the game, this must be a prequel of Hakuouki Shinsengumi Kitan...and the main character is not Hijikata, but a new character Ibuki.

hakuouki sekkaroku(sp?) is sometime inbetween the first and second season

hakuouki reimoruku(sp?) is BEFORE Chizuru came to the Shinsengumi.

All right, a Kazama anime. I know it's completely unrelated, but perfect timing with the game having just being released here in the US! Would love to see the anime come out here as well.

I wonder how the game is selling. If it's doing well, it might bode well for the anime and/or additional PSP games to be released in the US.

Oooh! I'm so excited! I thought that they might make Reimeiroku into an anime since Hakuouki's been such a hit over in Japan.

I hope they keep Seki Tomokazu as Ryuunosuke. He has such an awesome voice. ^^

The only source for sales numbers I've seen is VGCharts saying that it sold 30,000 copies. If they're anywhere in the ballpark, that is an incredible number.

Hey, you don't have to be a fujoushi to like hot guys!!
spoiler[Although I am a fujoushi myself...] Wink

Having a lot of fun playing though the game. Went for Saito my first go though (seems like many people do) and was quite enthralled, thinking about pursuing Heisuke or Okita next~

Some of the parts though... I cried because I am a loser... orz.

The fact that these series seem to add additional info is a big incentive for me to finally getting around to watch them Smile

Sekkaroku takes place very early during the first season. It couldn't have happened in between since spoiler[Souji would already have to be bedridden and Susumu would have to already been dead]

Also, as much as I like Maon Kurosaki's singing, I really dislike that they replaced the better of the two singers (Aika Yoshioka) for the Hakuouki themes with her.

-Implying you couldn't get the game because you like Japanese History

I got the game because of the fact that I wanted to learn more history. And whadda ya know, I did learn more than I would from a text book. Not to mention the plot actually being interesting and characters likable.

I'm a guy by the way. -_-

More interested in the films to be honest. Are they going to go with a completely new story and it being a sequel or are they going to go with a film that smashes all the routes together with a different ending?

Well, this is nice news. I liked the first 2 seasons. Haven't got the game. Is it worth spending money on?

This is good news, if for nothing else than it lets domestic licensors know that there is a viable market for things like this.

I know women who have never been gamers go out and buy PSPs in anticipation of the game, even knowing there may not be anything more. Now it looks like there will be. Wink

It may encourage someone to license the anime as well, but I'm guessing they are asking a lot for the license. (eventually, maybe. my guess... NISA).
