Is this planned to be a major hit or why are they hyping it with several trailers without footage?

Eh.
I'll wait until I hear a LOT of positive news and reviews about this show before I even bite!
I'm sick of all the Tenchi Muyo spin-offs.
The original 13(?)-part OVA series is still the best. Other than that, I liked the Mihoshi Galaxy Police Special and the Magical Project S: Pretty Sammy TV series.
Didn't care for the movies, and the only other TV show I bothered to get was the first spin-off, Tenchi Universe.
It's just too much for 5 years or so!
I think even Gundam took 15 years to amass what Tenchi did in 5-8 years...

The article links to the second trailer instead of the third one, FYI.
I really hope a real trailer for this series pops up soon.

Isn't AIC's cash cow supposed to be dead? At this point, the hype for a new Tenchi series should be nil after the debacle of the "3rd OVA series".

Wah! More new Seikishi stuff snuck up on me again! Thanks for the news again, ANN, and for translating the names of the cast members! So...Ayato Kamina's voice actor is going to be Kenshi? That amuses me immensely. I adore RahXephon, though, so it's a good type of amusement. And Reki's voice actress from Haibane Renmei, too? Cool.
It appears that they also added three more character designs in their character section of the web site (the characters they first introduced in the second trailer). Doll seems to have red eyes, not purple...but she is still reminiscent of D. It seems like they also changed the image that they were using for the blond princess (I think she's one of the princesses). Her positioning just feels different to me for some reason...
The third trailer's nice. I really do love fantasy worlds with elaborate, beautiful buildings surrounded by lots of trees and plants (i.e., nature that hasn't been plowed through and paved over). I thought it was kind of funny when tiny versions of the characters appeared, although it was also interesting when Kenshi and two other girls showed up in black clothes that looked like formal attire. They hadn't shown those costumes, yet.
Well, it's my understanding that Seikishi is being made thanks to Japanese fans supporting Kajishima's works, including Tenchi Muyo! Ryo-Ohki OAV 3. I don't know why they are making a web site like that for Seikishi, and releasing trailers with background art and character designs, but I don't really need to know. I just appreciate that that's the way they're doing it because I think it's fun. Go, go, Seikishi!

Well I'm interested.I liked both dual when it showed on TechTV and the tenchi series. With the OVA and GXP as the top, especially GXP's dub ending had me laughing out loud. Hope the same hijinks and harem comes out for this spin off.
