Just wondering is the "Buy 3 get the 4th free" or "buy 4 and get the 5th free" going on and is it nationwide. Would like to pick up the Rahxephon title at B&N since it's exclusive only to them.

Both Borders and Brentanos (aka Walden Books) are having a deal similar to this in my area, so it may be that all the major chains are just doing this to compete with eachother.

I've never heard of a graphic novel specific deal. As I've said before...Waldenbooks runs their buy 4 get the 5th free (b4g5f)sale on many of their paperbacks many times per year. This "sale" can be applied to graphic novels obviously, but as far as I know it's not graphic novel specific. At least it wasn't when I went in last week.

I think boarders is doing the 3 get 4th free (from animeondvd).
Boarders and Waldenbooks are very similar? I seen an ad for manga that feature both store.

I never bought GNs at Walden. Do they sell at MSRP or is there a discount price?

Usually in these cases the freebie has to be of equal price to your cheapest GN, or cheaper.

Finally stoped by Waldens. They still have that Gn deal, buy 3 get 4th free. The selection were a bit disappointing, old titles. Some of the GN looks used.
But it's okay, I got the last InuYasha vol. 19 GN w/ InuYasha as demon figure. Factory sealed.
Barnes and Nobles have the same problem of GN books looking very crappy. Caused by people reading too much in store.

Depends on how big the store is. If the store carry 6 copies of one title, than a few will be messed up while other will still be in like new condition. What piss me off is when they don't carry a certain title, Been really looking for Rahxephon at B&N in pasadena but they don't seem to carry it.
