The thought of there being a P4 'FES' is what kept me from pre-ordering this game at first...now my lack of any foreseeable money is preventing me. I want that artbook, too. Just like I wanted Eternal Poison's...too late now, huh? Still, glad to hear that when I get this game I won't be short-sticked by an improved release.

Well, it's possible that he's only referring to North America. However, I guess it doesn't affect western gamers if Atlus decides to release an update in Japan, which will never be released overseas (thus rendering the current version definitive within those markets).

Well, seeing as I'm not going to import (nor would I wish to buy basically the same game twice), I'm hoping that the release in December is the definitive one across the board. Of course, if it were an updated version of the Japanese one I wouldn't complain...

I too hope this is definitive across the board. If they release an updated version in Japan and we don't get it, then I will be upset!

Knowing about the unlikely possibility of a FES edition for P4 realy is a relief. The game looks a bit more interesting than P3, though I think Chie looks so far like just a poor, annoying copy of Lisa Silverman and that she might have been created just in hope to attract fans of the older games.
Despite complaints from purists, I thought that the English version sounds great so far and I'm waiting to hear how Naoto would sound like. This is just my opinion but I think that Erin Fitzgerald, who had voiced Alkaid from . hack G.U. will sound the closest out of all the VAs that I'm familiar with to Romi Paku.
It seems that the Persona franchise is increasingly becoming one of the most, if not currently the most popular non-Square-Enix RPG, hope this will encourage Atlus to take advantage of this and re-release the original on PSP or something with a better localization.
