I was wondering if any else noticed that this season of Inu-Yasha has more comic episodes then the other two seasons. I'm not complaning, I'm saying if anyone else noticed. Like in the episode The Red and White Pristesses the giant Inu-Yasha's sword loked like on of those cones that people use at the airport to direct traffic. If you haav or havn't notcied talk about it.

I noticed. I especially like the episode with Shippo and the little girl. We need to see more of her and shipo! (Cant spell Ship =^/) That ep was funny.

Most of the non-funny episodes are canon and by the way 68 is a funny filler. I'm not sure if any more comedic episodes are ahead since I haven't seen IY 69-104 but there are a few way later in the series. Jaken, Shippou, and Miroku(sometimes) also have there own elements of comic relief and who can't resist laughing when Kagome says Sit/osuwari?

The red & blue priestesses that defended Tsubaki? They were actually tied to the main story, as they were tricked by Tsubaki into defending her while she tried to make use of the Shikon pieces.

The A-story does have a healthy amount of comedy in it. And at the same time, the (usually insipid, though recent ones have actually been alright) filler episodes do have their serious moments.

Speaking of IY, have any of you seen the 3rd movie? It's REALLY cool and is probably my favorite one now, but only because Sesshoumaru has a big role in it... .

As the only real non-kiddy anime on Canadian television, Inu Yasha's wander-to-village/fight/get-shard/repeat formula is too monotonous for my tastes, but, still, it's a series from Rumiko Takahashi, the creator of Urusei Yatsura and Ranma ½, so, as with pretty much every one of her stories except the Mermaid saga, there's probably going to be some comic relief somewhere.

The colour doesn't matter, is it the pair that were tricked into defending Tsubaki?

I think so. Although I am not totally sure.

Yep Nagisa you have it right, Botan and Mugeji(sp?) are the name of the preistesses that were decived by Kuromiko Tsubaki...They had some interesting powers too. Tony I've seen the 3rd movie and I concur with you its very cool I just wished it was a little longer and had more Taishou and Sesshoumaru in it.
